Wash & Fold vs Wash & Iron: Which Service Do You Need?
Two everyday services, one simple difference — what happens after the wash.
Key answer
Choose Wash & Fold (₹75/kg) for clothes that live folded — t-shirts, innerwear, homewear, towels. Choose Wash & Iron (₹120/kg) for clothes you wear outside that need to look crisp — shirts, trousers, kurtis. Most households use both: the weekly pile goes to fold, the workweek wardrobe goes to iron.
The actual difference
Both services start the same way: your clothes are tagged, sorted, machine-washed and dried. The fork comes at finishing. Wash & Fold ends with clothes neatly folded and packed — clean and ready for the cupboard. Wash & Iron adds a full pressing step, so every piece comes back finished and wear-ready.
That extra step is why the two are priced differently: ₹75 per kg for fold, ₹120 per kg for iron. You are paying for pressing labour on every garment, not a different wash.
A simple rule that works
Look at how a garment lives in your wardrobe. If it sits in a stack — tees, shorts, nightwear, gym wear, towels, bedsheets — fold is enough; nobody irons a gym tee. If it hangs and gets judged in daylight — office shirts, formal trousers, kurtis, cotton dresses — iron earns its keep.
Mixed pile? Split it. Fundry tags items individually, so one pickup can carry a fold bag and an iron bag; you don’t need two bookings.
When neither is right
Some garments should skip both: blazers, silk sarees, heavily embroidered wear and anything labelled “dry clean only” need dry cleaning, not a water wash. If a care label confuses you, add a note when booking — every item is inspected before treatment, and we route it to the right service.
Quick questions
Is the washing itself different between the two services?
No — same sorted machine wash and drying. The difference is finishing: folded versus fully pressed.
Can sarees go in Wash & Iron?
Selected everyday sarees, yes. Silk and occasion sarees should go to dry cleaning or saree care instead — we check the fabric before treating.
What’s the minimum load?
Pricing is per kg with no fuss about exact minimums at booking — we weigh at pickup and confirm the amount with you before work begins.
