How Much Does Laundry Service Cost in Hyderabad? A Pricing Guide
Per kg or per piece, and what actually drives the number on your bill.
Key answer
In Hyderabad, professional laundry with pickup typically runs ₹60–100/kg for wash & fold and ₹100–150/kg for wash & iron; dry cleaning is per piece, usually ₹80–300 depending on the garment. Fundry charges ₹75/kg for wash & fold, ₹120/kg for wash & iron, dry cleaning from ₹85/piece and saree rolling from ₹75/piece — final amounts confirmed before work begins.
Why some services are per kg and others per piece
Everyday laundry runs as a sorted batch — the machine doesn’t care whether the 5 kg is ten tees or six towels, so weight is the fair unit. Wash & fold and wash & iron are therefore per kg.
Dry cleaning, saree work and shoe cleaning are individual craft: each piece is inspected, treated and finished on its own. A silk saree and a cotton shirt take utterly different effort, so per-piece is the only honest unit. Be wary of anyone quoting “dry cleaning per kg” — something in that process is being skipped.
What moves the price up or down
For per-kg services: the weight, and the finishing level (folded vs pressed — pressing is the labour). For per-piece services: fabric (silk and wool cost more to treat than polyester), construction (lined and structured garments take longer), embellishment (zari, sequins and embroidery need hand-attention), and condition (heavy staining can need multiple treatments).
A fair-dealing cleaner tells you the basis before starting. At Fundry, the weight is confirmed at pickup for kg services, and per-piece items are quoted after inspection — you always know the number before we proceed.

Quick questions
Is per-kg pricing cheaper than per-piece?
For everyday clothes, almost always — a kilo holds four or five garments. Per-piece only makes sense for garments needing individual treatment.
Are there hidden charges like pickup fees?
At Fundry, no — pickup and delivery are included in our coverage areas, and the price basis is confirmed with you before work starts.
Why is wash & iron noticeably costlier than wash & fold?
Pressing is per-garment manual work on top of the same wash — you’re paying for finishing labour, which is exactly what makes clothes wear-ready.
